The average person gains weight during the holidays..

Well, Clif and I are proud to say we are not the average people, Clif joined weight watchers and has lost over 25 lbs so far (his wedding ring is really loose now) and thanks to his dieting and my morning sickness I am down 10 lbs so far. Clif is really excited about it all and anxious to loose more soon. I am really enjoying all the fresh produce we now have all the time. Yeah for us!!!

7 Months Old Now

A few more days and it will be 7 months for this kiddo.
Here are a few recent pics. The third one is an example
of how the silly kid likes to sleep. He won't sleep on his back
or tummy anymore, it has to be on his side, how odd!

Mountain Drive

Clif and I love taking mountain drives and I love going with him since he knows so many cool places to go. I am bad and stopping him to take pictures though, this summer was beautiful and I regret not taking the opportunity to capture it so here are two from the last drive we took.

Cort

We still aren't rolling over all the wasy, he loves being on his side and getting in odd positions but he doesn't actually roll all the way over. He sleeps on his side too with his head up kinda like in this picture, it is odd but cute.
He had big smiles for me after trying carrots for the first time.
He fell asleep holding this bear the other day, I thought it was pretty cute even though he really isn't attached to holding on to anything but my finger while sleeping, (that will be a fun habit to break sometime).
Dressed in plaid and cap just like his daddy!

I love this one even if he isn't smiling, he is just so cute and his double chin isn't showing :)!

another cute one

peas! Yummy!

peas! ewww!

Soccer

Soccer is now over but here are some of the highlights in picture form!

Garden/Lawn

I love grass so this year Clif planted a small patch in our backyard where our fruit trees are for me. I love looking at it and sitting on it and cant wait till we have the time to do the front yard, I hope we can next year. For now I just have a front lawn of weed that sometimes grown two feet tall.
Clif wanted to try growning pumpkins and cucumbers on a trellis and it works.

The weeds in our backyard are taller than our corn and tall enough that you cant see the horses behind them :) talent huh? to grow a forrest of weeds that have to have a chain saw to cut them down.

We are all doing quite well. cort is getting bigger every day. He was 14lbs and 4oz at his 5 month checkup and 25 inches long. We do have to take him to a doctor soon to see if we need to get under his tongue clipped since he is tongue tied and it could cause speech problems later on in life. Clif has been bottling like crazy for the last month with his brother and brother in law, I am not much help since I am always taking care of Cort. He doesn't mind though, he is up to like over 250 bottles of food so far and still going. Other than bottling Clif is mostly just working, the busy season for propane is slowly approaching. I stay at home with Cort most of the time. I enjoy watching him grow and learn. I do some printing jobs and we get them and I am currently busy trying to practice the piano lots since the primary program is in a few weeks and as the pianist I am not all ready yet. I still have a few songs that need some improving. I am also currently working on my annual family Halloween Party.

ooohhhh whats over there? it moves!

Mommys big blue eyes have been passed on

Wow, kinda looks like a turtle
During diaper changes he gets bored and looks for things to grab and play with like this lotion bottle.

He has gotten pretty good at grabbing his binkie and pulling it out to play with, sometime he can get it back in his mouth the right way too.

Whenever I put him in his bumbo chair he gets pretty frustrated trying to use his sitting up muscles.

Tummy time is getting to be not so painful as it used to be.
