Well, after five months of procrastination I attempted Corts pictures. They are ok but not the best representation of my little boy but oh well... I even threw in a few classics to show what most of his smiles for the camera look like.

Superhero Halloween party
For this years Halloween party I picked a superhero theme. I created a superhero identity for each of the kids invited and made them masks and capes. We ate and played games. It was good :-)

We down sized (moved) !
To start I have to go back to early summer time. Clifs employers kinda went weird on him which led to him quitting his job. He picked up a temporary job for a month then found a new job. Three jobs in one summer kind of sent our finances into a tailspin of sorts. We got behind on the house payment a few months. Then one day about a month ago we found out that our house was in foreclosure already. After talking together and with family we decided that we would let it foreclose rather than save it. We have been working to get out of debt and this would speed us down that path. So we spent the last two weeks packing and moving. We moved in to my parents guest house which is one bedroom one bathroom, real cozy for a family of four but its a mice house so we are happy. The perk is that we are right next to my parents house, sandbox, swingset, and awesome playhouse! We hope to continue to get out of debt and then save money to build our dream house someday.
Cort sleeps on the living room, Sammy in the kitchen behing a curtain.

The little joys
I love watching my kids learn new things all the time. I went to the grocery store today and Cort found 13 cents in the parking lot. I let him hold on to it. When putting all my groceries on the check out counter, he reached over to the aisle, picked up a candy bar, gave it to me, then handed me all his money, all 13 cents, and told me to give it to cashier to "buy it" . He is catching on to how money works. Made me smile!

Nap Time
Cort has decided that instead of him having a nap today that his bears will. He told them to "close eyes and go sweep" .

Hyper
Many years ago I remember watching anastasia for the first time and ever since then the saying "this can only end in tears" has come to mind a lot. Well tonight is one of those nights. My kiddos are both hyped up on icecream at nine o clock at night running around wrestling, tripping, and giggling lots. It's pretty entertaining but as the saying goes "this can only end in tears". When a two year old and a one year old play together it gets pretty rough. :-) I'm putting my money on Sammy being in tears shortly.... And Cort being in time-out :-)

Sammy at 13 months old
My little Samantha belle is 13 months old. She is super cute, starting to say a few words, is super attached to mommy, and has the drama queen talent down to a T. We love her tons.

Camping with the brownings
We went camping this last weekend. We went to a new spot and it was so pretty. I am a failure though and never took scenery pictures, I'll have to go back sometime cause I really liked it there. Cort had tons of fun, Sammy didn't really, she was pretty cranky. Night time was AWFUL though, a lot of screaming and crying. I did get a few pictures of the horse ride and of a few happy moments with sammy.

Birthday Girl!
Sammy had her first birthday July 26th. It was a pretty good day. She didn't want to eat her cupcake though, (cort did the same on his first birthday, what is up with my kids). We had lots of family over and had fun. Oh and no I'm not pregnant. I get asked every now and then if I'm pregnant yet, thanks to Sammy coming so fast after Cort. I was six months pregnant on Corts first birthday. Kind of enjoying a break this time :-)

Corts Second Birthday Party
So these are not in the best order but the above picture is of cort and the toy barn and cow I made for him for his birthday. It was quite the adventure full of lots of mess ups and redos. We had family over for corts birthday party and I think it went well, we were also celebrating clifs birthday since the two birthdays were so close. We fed everyone dinner and treats and let cort blow out his candle, eat his cake (or should I say bath in it, since that is literally what he did with it, pretty funny to watch, not so much fun to clean him up afterwards, oh well, he had fun), and he opened presents ( even had help from cousins). Thanks to all our wonderful family for all the love, support and presents!
